Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
It is hoped that you will do these two things.
It is the purpose of this project to help you learn of him. Three works are provided to this end. Of course the four Gospels are essential. They are included here, divided, and hyperlinked in a way that allows you to study all four together in chronlogical order, easily comparing the various accounts of events in the life of Jesus. Maps are added to give you additional perspective. Also published is a great book by Archdeacon Fredric W. Farrar called The Life of Christ. This is a book on the Life of Jesus in biographical form, including teachings and doings of Jesus in their historical, social, political and religious settings.
A book by Charles Edward Jefferson which studies The Character of Jesus in its various aspects - His strength, originality, poise, generousity, brotherlyness, and etc. - is here made available.
I am also trying to include as many of the works of J. James Tissot as possible to illustrate the verses.
Many of the New Testement related works of Edersheim will appear. Right now you can find thim at the bottom of the "Life" page.
